& transfer to Colombo. In the afternoon take a city tour of Colombo. Evening leisure at hotel.
COLOMBO – A drive through the city will take you to the Fort and Pettah – the commercial area of the city and tree – lined Colombo-07 Cinnamon Gardens. Colombo 3, 4, 5, 8 are the prime residential area of the city. Visit Fort and Pettah for shopping. The Hindu Temple at sea street, lined with Goldsmith’s shops, Independence Hall, B.M.I.C.H, see the replica of Avukana Buddha statue and the old Parliament.

16/07 : After an early breakfast proceed to Hunas Falls Hotel. En route visit "Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage" to see Feeding & Bathing of Orphaned Elephants & “Spice Garden” where you will be explained about the Trees & it's Natural Value.
HUNAS FALLS - Hunas Falls Hotel, which is a fantastic birding destination with more than 70 species recorded around the hotel such as Golden-fronted Leafbird, Indian Scimitar Babbler and Hill Myna. Birdwatchers could see five of the 23 endemic birds of Sri Lanka. They are Sri Lanka Hanging Parrot, Layard's Parakeet, Yellow-fronted Barbet, Sri Lanka Myna and Brown-capped Babbler. You could also see a range of bird of prey, which includes Black Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, White-bellied Sea Eagle, and Brahminy Kite. In the evening take a walk around the lake to look for crepuscular birds. After dinner go on a nocturnal trek around the lake path to see many frogs and the elusive Brown Fish Owl which haunts the lake in search of frogs.

KANDY - No visit to Sri Lanka is complete without a visit to Kandy, the ancient hill capital and domain of the last king of Sri Lanka. Situated at an elevation of 488 meters, Kandy is rich in addition and is rich in tradition and is the spiritual home of Sri Lanka. Perhaps best known for it’s Dalada Maligawa, the temple that houses the tooth relic of Lord Buddha, Kandy is also a popular stop during July / August. During this time the city takes on a carnival atmosphere for the annual perahera, when the tooth relic is paraded around the city in a procession that includes, among others, approximately more than 100 elephants, traditional dancers and drummers.
Kandy is steeped in history and many of Sri Lanka’s arts and craft flourish here, particularly the silver and brass craftsmanship as well as jewelry in traditional design. It is convenient base of operations for those who wish to see more of the hill country since it affords easy access to many other destinations of interest.

20/07 : After breakfast transfer from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya. En-route visit & Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya & tea plantation and a factory at Labukale where the best tea in the world is produced. Take a quick break at “Ramboda falls”.

Royal Botanical Garden – Peradeniya

7acres in extent; started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 500 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists.
There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens, the earliest and the tallest Palm Avenue ( Royal Palm Avenue ) was planted in 1905 and the double coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world is one such avenue.
visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy to join the ceremonial offerings at 10.30 a.m. which is home for Lord the Sacred Tooth rescued from Buddha funeral pyre in 543 BC. Thereafter visit the Royal Botanical Garden established in 1831, which is of immense botanical importance for Sri Lanka. This is a wonderful place for bird watching with a vast number of native and migrant bird species.
Nuwara Eliya - The “Little England” of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and tea plantation. It is supposed to be one of the coolest places in the Island, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya, you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.
The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get some rare birds in this park.
Seasons may be absent elsewhere in Sri Lanka, but here you can read them by the flowers, which bloom in the spring (March - May) and the fall ( August – September) There are the seasons, when low country folk flock to Nuwara Eliya to escape the sea level heat and humidity.

Water sports facilities are available and many interesting sightseeing tours are possible from here, such as the Turtle Hatchery, Mask Factory, Galle Fort, Mini Zoo, Garden brief, Boat trips on Bentota River etc.

اذا تنصحون فيها ممكن اسوي لي برنامج الفنادق من هنا والسيارة من هناك عن طريق مكتب سرنديب
لأن إحدى المسافرات لسريلانكا قرأت لها رد في احد المنتديات
تقول ان المكاتب هناك بدأوا يرفعون الاسعار
والمرة الثانية اذا عدت الى سريلانكا
سأحجز الفنادق من الرياض
والسيارة من هناك
