Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa Opening Ahead of Schedule
Work on the RM100 million redevelopment and repositioning programme of Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa is now entering the final stage. The progress has been remarkable and the resort will now open for business on 28 September 2006 - ahead of the original scheduled date in October 2006.
Landscaping work has also begun in earnest with boulders, rock structures, shrubs and trees being placed. The CHI Spa Village, arguably the most stunning addition to the resort, is also taking shape with its Tibetan-inspired structure and rustic wooden roofscape visible for all to see. It will be the first CHI Spa in Malaysia and also one of the region's most spacious spa environments complete with garden sanctum, yoga studio and 11 treatment villas.
The Rasa Deluxe Room's design is now open for viewing complete with all the trimmings and details (see image library at http://www.shangri-la.com/press/library/en/index.aspx). Numbering only 26 units, these rooms are all situated on the ground level of Rasa Wing, offering direct access to the pool and garden grounds. The Rasa Deluxe Rooms come with their own private garden area framed by wooden trellis and flowering plants.
Other rooms in the process of being completed are the exclusive Rasa Premier Rooms, which come with marble-laid bath feature on the balcony, and the new upgraded Garden Wing Deluxe Rooms.
Other facilities include a state-of-the-art Health Club, a Par 3 Executive Golf course, a 26-metre spa pool and seven innovative restaurants and bars.
