St. Philomena’s Church – Built in the Gothic style, one of the largest churches of the country. Day 07 : Mysore/Ooty

Day 08 : Ooty
Today take the sightseeing of Ooty and surrounding , overnight stay in the hotel.

Botanical Gardens

If you are on a sightseeing tour to Ooty, you might want to visit the Government Botanical gardens, which were laid out in 1847.The picturesque gardens that are maintained by the Horticulture department of the state, cover an area of about 22 hectares. The Gardens have well over 650 species of plants and trees, including a fossil of a tree, which is believed to be more than 20 million years old. The garden is very popular with nature lovers and those who long to walk among greenery and see rare ferns and shrubs up close. If you are in Ooty in the month of May, then you can also be a part of the summer festival, which is held here annually. The festival holds flower shows and various cultural programs showcasing the talent of the locals and the renowned artists.

Ooty Lake

If you love the outdoors, Ooty lake is a must see for you. It was built in 1825 and is about 2.5 km long. Visitors to this lake can go for boating on the lake or enjoy their favorite outdoor activity of fishing. If the latter really appeals to you then remember to get fishing permission before you head to buy baits!

Dodabetta Peak

The Dodabetta Peak stands at an altitude of 2,623 meters. It is the highest point in the district, making it possibly the best vantage point around Ooty. It is merely 10kms from Ooty so you can simply grab your camera and head straight to the peak, and click amazing pictures of he valley below. Many say that on a clear day, which is honestly not that often, one can see far off areas, even the plains of Coimbatore and the flat highlands of Mysore.

Lamb's Rock

Lamb's Rock is another vantage point that is ideal for taking pictures and is a wonderful picnic spot. It is merely 9kms. From Coonoor and is known for the splendid views it offers of the plains of Coimbatore and the tea states in the surrounding areas.

Day 09 : Ooty/Cochin
Today take the excursion to Connoor, Later drive to Cochin, transfer to the hotel, overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 10 : Cochin

The main sight seeing places are Fort Cochin, with its European heritage, its air of genteel decay, and stubborn self-absorption is a place where history, like a friendly phantom, still stalks the lonely streets, the Santa Cruz Basilica, The Dutch palace at Mattancherry, St. Francis’ Church, built in the early 16th century. It is the pride of Fort Cochin. The most enduring impression of Fort Cochin is the enigma of the Chinese fishing nets. visit the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, & St. Francis Church. Overnight stay in Cochin

Day 11 : Cochin/Munnar

Today you will take drive to Munnar (4 ½ hrs). Upon arrival check into the hotel and rest of the day is free for you. Munnar is a hill station set amongst the Kannan Devan hills. It is famous for its lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs, forests, and tea estates. The quiet environs of Munnar attract the traveler to relax in the lap of Mother Nature. Munnar also beacons the adventure-seeking traveler, who is interested in paragliding. It has some of the highest tea estates in the world. Overnight stay

Day 12 : Munnar

Day free for sight seeing in Munnar. The main sight seeing spots are Anaimudi (2,695 m), the highest peak in southern India, can be viewed from Munnar. The Christ Church is an important place to visit in Munnar. Built of stone, it was constructed by the British in 1910. This church is known for its stain glass windows. The Evarikulam National Park is 16 km from Munnar. This national park is the home of elephants, lion-tailed macaque, and the Nilgiri tahr (a rare mountain goat). Travelers can also explore the Rajamala Hills adjoining the national park, en route to Top Station; one can visit the Madupetty Dam. This is a popular picnic spot and travelers can indulge in activities like boating and horse riding here. Overnight at Munnar

Day 13: Munnar/Thekkady

Today you will drive to Periyar (4 hrs.). Arrival and check into hotel. In the evening enjoy boat ride at Lake (optional). Periyar (also known as Thekkady) is a park where one can witness playful pachyderms, whose population is currently around 800. The population of tigers is also increasing appreciably. Periyar is a veritable paradise of elephants. Scores of them can be witnessed bathing and swimming here. There are some tribal villages around Periyar, which are worth a visit. The tribal people still engaged in the traditional practice of collecting honey of dangerous hill bees. They have built interesting tree dwellings. Overnight stay in Periyar

Day 14 : Thekkady/Kumarakom

Today you will take drive to Kumarakom (3 ½hrs.), upon arrival check into the backwater resort. Backwaters are one of the unique attractions of Kerala, a chain of canals extending about 1500 k.m, with a network of 44 rivers, lagoons and lakes. Most of it is naturally formed. Here we have combined Backwater along with Canals made for continuous traffic of men and materials. Relax in back water.

Day 15 : Kumarakom

Get Set for the moments that will approach you today with a boat ride into the countryside, you will visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. If you are adventurous enough, you can indulge in water sports such as windsailing & water skiing. You can even take a canoe out into the quiet lakes. Overnight at hotel
Day 16: Kumarakom/Cochin departure.
